Episode 13: Melody Pool

Our guest for this episode is Melody Pool, a singer-songwriter that critics have considered as one of the best songwriters in Australia.
She has been the support act for Australian tours by the Eagles and Rodriguez among many others and played alongside the Milk Carton Kids in a tour in the United Kingdom and Europe.
She delivered one of the most acclaimed Australian debut albums of recent times “The Hurting Scene”, and returned in 2016 with her stunning sophomore album “Deep Dark Savage Heart”. This album painted a dark insight into a personal place in Melody’s mind; guiding the listener to confronting depths.
A profoundly emotional and talented artist that struggled with the pressure of mental health that threatens more than her budding stellar career. In 2017 following the release tour for Deep Dark Savage Heart Melody announced that she decided to step out of the music business, put that career on pause to take care of her own self first.
In the last 12 months and during her time off from live performance, Melody has focused on writing her third studio album which she co-produced and recorded with musician and partner Christopher Dale, in their home on a 160-acre farm in regional NSW. The songs draw on her recovery and progress and also the angst and frustration experienced along the way.
In 2021, Melody Pool announces her awaited return with new music penning its way into her sets, exploring a new and re-birthed brilliance hinting at subjects of empowerment, resurgence, and uprising.
