Episode 76: Hanna & Madge

Our guest today is Hanna x Madge, a Nashville based indie pop duo comprised of sisters Hanna and Madge Ross.
Musically Influenced by Ed, Taylor Swift and Joni Mitchell, Hanna x Madge combine witty storytelling and catchy melodies to produce their singular sonic magic.

Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, music found the Ross sisters at an early age.  Madge began learning the piano at age 6 while Hanna picked up her grandfather’s guitar in middle school.
Hanna x Madge have played hundreds of shows all over the world, from performances in Nashville’s famed Bluebird Cafe and Listening Room Cafe to the historic Crane Bar in Galway, Ireland and venues in Dublin, Ireland; Brighton, England; Estes Park, Colorado; Dallas, Texas; Bozeman, Montana; and more.

In 2020, Hanna x Madge took the opportunity to learn how to produce their own music at home, writing songs inspired by their favourite books and publishing their first EP “Whimsy”. They also started a weekly Instagram livestream series “Tea Time & Tunes.”
The show, which airs every Sunday at 6pm CT, has featured New York Times bestselling authors like Marissa Meyer, Jenna Evans Welch, Rae Ann Parker and Cat Bock of beloved Nashville independent bookstore Parnassus Books, as well as country singer-songwriter Allie Colleen and folk musician David Wilcox.
